15 CUHK-Shenzhen Scholars Listed in Global Academic Impact Rankings
A total of 9,044 Chinese scholars were listed in this year's Global Scholar Academic Impact Rankings issued on August 31. Among them, 15 scholars are faculty members of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen. Specifically, they are Professors Tang Benzhong, Zhu Shiping, Ni Weiming, Cui Shuguang, Henry N.C. Wong, Huang Jianwei, Xu Jie and Zhou Yan from the School of Science and Engineering (SSE), Professors Zhang Dapeng and Luo Zhiquan from the School of Data Science (SDS), Professors Huang Hsien-Da, Zhu Baoting, Ye Dequan and Liu Guozhen from the School of Medicine (MED), and Professor Fan Xitao from the School of Humanities and Social Sciences (HSS). Tang Benzhong (Member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Dean of SSE), in particular, ranks 76th globally and third nationally for materials science and engineering, and chemistry subjects.
The list is published by the academic literature query and analysis system www.globalauthorid.com, where users can search the literature and assess the value of talent by global scholars. Following the top names in certain disciplines, users are also allowed to keep up with the latest developments and cutting-edge research in a specific topic. More than 60,000 prestigious domestic and international academic publications are now part of the system, bringing the total amount of journal/conference papers collected to about 150 million. Moreover, the pool is growing at a rate of more than 12,000 papers per day.
