Ji Chao -Playwright
Ji Chao, Master of Drama and Opera Creation at the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts. Ji Chao was a visiting scholar of Rockefeller Group at Yale University in 2015 and his opera "Paradise Interrupted" was staged at the Lincoln Arts Center in New York and the Metropolitan Museum of New York in 2015 and 2016. In September 2015, his dance drama "Linchuan Four Dreams" and "Liao Zhai" won the National Art Fund. His research focuses on the traditional Kunqu script creation, archery (one of the Six Arts of a man of noble character), and opera (Kunqu, Peking Opera, Qin Opera, etc.). Also, he held Lectures and gave courses in collaboration with Artron Art Center and Sea World Art Center.
Yi Yi - Chinese Opera Actress
Yi Yi, whose real name is Zhang Mi, graduated from the Performing Arts Department (Kunqu) of the National Academy of Chinese Theatre Arts. Major courses: Peking Opera Tao Ma Tan, Kunqu Gui Men Tan, Tie Tan. She used to be a star mentor at CCTV Entertainment Media Co., Ltd., and a coordinator as well as planner at the Shenzhen Academy of Opera Art. In 2014, she starred in the small theater dance drama "Paradise Interrupted". Since 2017, she has collaborated with over 20 schools in Nanshan District to hold the activity "Opera in Campus" and enable opera music to spread in 13 cooperative base schools.

University Arts Centre will offer courses in a variety of art forms, either credit bearing or non-credit bearing. Artists will be invited to design instructional plans and visiting lecturers and professors will be invited to give lectures. This will reinforce the aim of the Centre, which is to enrich the culture and art atmosphere of the University with artistic activities.
