Chen Fenwan's works are based on paper-cutting, but are not limited to specific media. Praised by the media as "the top post-90s paper artist", Chen Fenwan graduated from the Printmaking Department of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts. In her creation, she often combines Chinese folk paper cuts with contemporary art, taking "paper" as the concept to explore and interpreting things from her unique and romantic perspective.
Chen Fenwan was invited to TEDx to give a lecture in 2013 when she graduated and was selected into the Annual Artists of Contemporary Art of China by Chinese Modern Art Archive (CMAA) in 2019. Through continuous artistic creation, she gave birth to many of her representative works. Among them, Floral Infinity was invited by Pasha de Cartier for exhibition in Power Station of Art Shanghai; Nature's Lyrics was exhibited in TaiKooLi, Chengdu; Infinite has been exhibited for 9 times from 2018 to 2019; Lucky Garden was exhibited in The Ten-year Exhibition of Zhejiang Art Museum in 2019. Actively, Chen Fenwan explores the multi-dimensional boundaries of art in the public area, trying to communicate with a wider range of groups.
"Meeting Intellectuals in the Spring Hills" is one of the University's lecture series where the University will invite social elites in such fields as culture and arts to share with our students in form of salon or lecture to promote a discussion of thought-provoking issues or soul-searching experiences. During the lectures, everyone will have a chance to listen and respond on their world views, their aspirations, and intellectual taste in life.
