Professor Liu Mingkang is council member of Shenzhen Finance Institute, member of Board of Directors of Muse College at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shenzhen, professor at the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Sun-Yat-Sun University. He received his Master of Business Administration and honorary doctoral degree from London Metropolitan University. He is also a senior economist and researcher.

Professor Liu Mingkang is the former chairman and secretary of the China Banking Regulatory Commission, senior fellow of the Hong Kong Institute of Bankers, FSB and Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. He is also the director of Central Bank of Malaysia. He also serves as member for the International Advisory Board of Tshinghua University and adjunct professor at various renowned universities.
