[Meeting Intellectuals in the Spring Hills]

October 18, 2019 Upcoming

56000 square kilometers
70 million people

2 Special Administrative Regions

2 sub-provincial divisions

7 prefecture-level cities

" Belt and Road Initiative " and the promulgation of various documents

Gave these numbers a new name---

The Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area

One country

Two systems

Three customs territories

Four cities – Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Hongkong, and Macau

Cultural diversity

Characterizes the Greater Bay Area

But also complicates integration and communication

Moreover,

Different regions have their own market environments

At different levels of development

“Difference” is behind the performing arts markets in the Greater Bay Area

With all these differences

The Greater Bay Area has its unique local culture

To the south of the Wuling Mountains, across the Pearl River Basin

The “commonality” in terms of cultural roots is also unneglectable

How to balance difference and commonality?

How can regions learn from each other?

How to shape a pluralistic yet harmonious entertainment market

That seeks common ground while putting aside differences?

In the lecture “Integration of Performing Arts Market in the Greater Bay Area”Professor Tseng Sun Man will tell us how.

With its unique cultural background, what challenges will the Greater Bay Area face during the integration of entertainment markets.

How shall we reflect on these challenges?

At the 17th Lecture of the "Meeting Intellectuals in the Spring Hills" Lecture Series,

we will invite Professor Tseng Sun Man to share with us the background and opportunities of

the integration of entertainment performing arts markets in the Greater Bay Area.
