Competition Instructions:

Preliminary Competition: 1V1 debate

According to the registration order, every two debaters will get one same topic and be divided into Affirmative Side and Negative Side. After 3-minute preparation, there will be a 1-minute statement for each debater and 1-minute free debate. When the debate ends, judges will raise one question for each of them. The two sides will answer the question for at most 30 seconds after short thinking. To ensure fair competition, judges from RSADC and CUHK-SZ Mandarin Debate Team will grade debaters according to language expression, logic inference, and other aspects. The whole competition will be recorded. The top 15 debaters will advance to the finals according to their scores.

Final Tournaments:

15 debaters will voluntarily form teams in groups of 5. There will be 4 debaters and 1 leader in every team. The 3 teams will compete in tournaments on April 27^th. The order will be determined by drawing lots. Only 4 debaters will debate in each round. Every debater should participate at least once.
