Prof. Yue-Liang Wu is a well-known theoretical physicist, Academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Academician of the Academy of Developing Countries (TWAS), and the Vice President of the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. Engaging in the fields of particle physics, quantum field theory, symmetry principle, unified field theory and cosmology, he has served as Director of the Institute of Theoretical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Director of the Kavli Institute of Theoretical Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (KITPC), Director of the State Key Laboratory of Theoretical Physics (SKLTP), and former Chief Scientist of "Theoretical Research and Experimental Pre-research on Dark Matter and Dark Energy" of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Basic Research Program of China (973 Program). He used to be in charge of the program of The National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars and the Innovative Group Project on “Deep Structure of Matter and Early Evolution of the Universe” and served as the Chief Scientist of The Taiji Program in Space for Gravitational Wave Detection.
