The Department of Mathematical and Physical Sciences of NSFC have initiated application for special fund which set five programs. Details of requirements are as follows:

1. Eligibility of applicants

Applicants shall meet the following qualifications:

(1) With the experience of undertaking basic research projects;

(2) Have senior academic title.

2. Procedure of application

    Online application

Applicants shall fill out application forms in Chinese online via the application system ( https://isisn.nsfc.gov.cn/ ) .

※ For applicants who have no application account, please send your name, academic title, email address, telephone number to kevingao@cuhk.edu.cn by Oct. 16, 2021 to open account.

    Paperless submission

In the stage of submission, applicants shall only submit the online application, without submitting any hard copies.

3. Other requirements

A. This Special Fund is counted into the total  number limit which means a researcher with senior academic rank applies for (including as an applicant and a main participant) and undertakes  (including as an applicant and a main participant) should not exceed two;

B. Each applicant shall only apply for one project of special fund in the same year;

C. Applicants shall first read Annex 1 carefully before application.

4. Deadline

(1)  Applicants shall submit application forms and upload required supplementary documents online by 12:00 on Nov. 3, 2021, the RAO will review and feedback;

(2)  Applicants shall submit application forms (final version) online by 12:00 on Nov. 5, 2021, without submitting any hard copies.
