The Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission has initiated the Science and Technology Project for Sustainable Development 2022 and the specific application requirements are described as follows:

I. Funding Intensity and Research Period

The maximum funding limit for a single project does not exceed 8 million Yuan.

The project will be implemented from 2022, and the implementation period is 3 years.

II. Application conditions

To apply for the funding for the Science and Technology Project for Sustainable Development (hereinafter referred to as the “Project”), the following conditions shall be met:

(1) If the cooperative unit is an enterprise, the self-raised funds  shall exceed the amount of financial funding applied by the enterprise.

(2) the applicant shall be a full-time researcher of our university, and in principle, she/he shall not exceed 60 years old in the project completion year（Born after January 1, 1964 (inclusive). More than 50% of the total number of project team members must purchase social insurance in Shenzhen for more than half a year.

(3) unite 1-3 cooperative units to use the joint application method of “production, study, research and use (medicine)” and sign a cooperation agreement. The lead unit shall be responsible for more than 50% of the R & D content. The capital distribution proportion of the leading applicant shall exceed the cooperative unit, and the cooperative units outside Shenzhen shall not participate in the distribution of financial assistance funds.

(4) Wherever application demonstration is involved, the location of the application demonstration scene shall be specified, and a "Technology Application Demonstration Project Agreement" signed with the application demo authority (municipal level) shall be provided. The demonstration location shall be in Shenzhen, Shenzhen Shantou cooperation zone and Shenzhen Counterpart Assistance area; If rural revitalization is involved, a cooperation agreement shall be signed with relevant units in the Counterpart Assistance area of Shenzhen.

III. Requirements for the limitation

In the same year, the applicant shall abide by the following limitation principles:

(1) The applicant can only take the lead to apply one project, and cannot apply for the same item repeatedly;

(2) The applicant presides over and participates in no more than (including) 3 under-research projects in the municipal science and technology;

(3) At least 3 of the main members of the project team (including the applicant) shall be the personnel of our university.

IV. Application materials

(1) The original application form of Shenzhen Science and Technology Project for Sustainable Development in Special Innovation and Entrepreneurship Project (Affixed with the official seal of our university and the cooperative unit).

(2) The original project feasibility study report, the original effective cooperation agreement, the original intellectual property compliance statement, and the original scientific research integrity commitment letter. If the participating unit is an enterprise, a letter of commitment for self-financing investment must be provided.

(3) Photocopies of the title certificate or academic qualification certificate of the applicant, high-level talent certificate, award certificate, etc. A copy of the labor contract signed between the applicant and our university (stamped by the unit or its personnel department), and the copies of Shenzhen social insurance payment certificate for more than 50% of the project team members (including the project leader) for more than half a year (as of the latest month at the time of application).

(4) A list of the science and technology projects that the applicant presided over or participated in at or above the municipal level (the project situation of the company provided by the company), and the explanation on the research content related to this project obtaining funds from other channels (Affixed with the official seal of the unit). Commitments on the applicant presided over and participated in not more than 3 under-research city-level science and technology projects (Affixed with the seal of the applicant unit).

(5) You may choose to provide the copies for valid intellectual property certificates (including patents and software copyrights), novelty search reports, test reports, award certificates, Dispatch Agreement of Guangdong Provincial Enterprise Technology Commissioners, and Shenzhen Rural Technology Commissioner Certificates related to the application project and so on;

(6) If the project involves scientific research ethics and technology safety, you may provide approval or record documents required by relevant national laws, regulations and ethical standards.

V. Deadline

Online filling time: Proposals must be submitted electronically through the SZSTI’s online system (https://sticapply.sz.gov.cn/) before 12:00 p.m. on October 13, 2021and RAO will review and give feedback. No paper materials are required to be submitted temporarily. After the RAO has reviewed and submitted, the applicant clicks "Signature and Seal Page Print", scans and uploads the printed document after signing and sealing, and submits it for review (the acceptance status of the system is "Pending Window Acceptance").
