The Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong province has initiated Guangdong Key Laboratory Project 2021-2022.  Details of application requirements are as follows:

1. Project Duration and Funding Amount

The duration of project is three years（2022.1.1~2024.12.31）. The project adopts the pre-funding method and the maximum funding is 3 million Yuan.

2. Key Areas

New-generation information technology, future intelligent network, high-end equipment manufacturing, green and low-carbon, biomedicine, digital economy, new materials, new energy, marine economy, modern seed industry and comprehensive interdisciplinary subjects.

3. Application Requirements

3.1 Laboratory director

The person in charge of the laboratory meets one of the following conditions:

A. From 2018 to 2020, preside over a NSFC project (including sub-projects) with a funding amount of 2 million yuan and above;

B. From 2018 to 2020, preside over a major national science and technology special project (including sub-projects) or a national key R&D plan project (including sub-projects) with a funding amount of 3 million yuan and above;

C. From 2018 to 2020, preside over 1 provincial and ministerial science and technology plan project (including sub-projects) with a funding amount of 5 million yuan and above or 1 provincial natural science fund research team project; the above three types of projects are between 2018 and 2020 Projects that have been approved.

D. From 2018 to 2020, as First accomplisher, he won the second prize of the National Science and Technology Award or above or the first prize of the Provincial Science and Technology Award.

3.2 Laboratory members.

The number of fixed members, such as researchers, technicians, managers, etc., shall more than 30. It shall not be repeated with the Fixed members of the existing provincial key laboratories.

3.3 Scientific research level of the laboratory

I   From 2018 to 2020, fixed members undertake no less than 10 scientific research projects at or above the provincial and ministerial level, with a total project amount (excluding supporting funds) of 10 million yuan and above.

II  The overall scientific research level of the laboratory has reached the domestic advanced level, and the representative results are leading domestically, providing 5 representative results in the past five years.

3.4 Area and equipment.

There are relatively concentrated and moderate-scale experimental rooms and test sites, advanced scientific research equipment and facilities, and good technical support conditions and academic activity environment.

3.5 Others

According to the requirements of the reporting guidelines, we can declare 2 items in total this time.
