The NSFC has initiated application for NSFC-NRF joint research program 2021. Details of requirements are as follows:

1. Funding fields

Including Algebraic graph theory, topological graph theory and network reliability. For Application Code 1, applicants must select A0409.

2. Eligibility of applicants

Applicants shall meet the following qualifications:

(1) Applicants from China shall have senior academic title and must be a PI in a NSFC research grant (ongoing or already completed) with a duration of at least 3 years;

(2) Applicants from Korea shall meet the NRF's requirements (please refer to the NRF’s guide at  https://www.nrf.re.kr/index ) ;

(3) Applicant and Korean cooperators shall apply for the project to NSFC and NRF respectively. Unilateral application shall be invalid.

3. Funding amount and duration

The duration of this program is three years (the start time should be 1 Jan. 2022 and finish time should be 31 Dec. 2024) .

The NSFC will fund a maximum of 2 million RMB per project (direct cost).

4. Procedure of application

Online application

Applicants from China shall fill out application forms in Chinese online via the application system ( https://isisn.nsfc.gov.cn/egrantweb/  ). Please find details of system operating steps as attached(Annex 1)

Paperless submission

In the stage of submission, applicants shall only submit online application, without submitting any hard copies.

5. Other requirements

A. This program will not be counted to the total number limit;

B. Applicant shall only apply for one International (Regional) Cooperation Project once  in  a  year;

C. Applicants  shall  not  apply  for  this program if  they received  funding  for  an on-going International (Regional) Cooperation Project as PI;

D. Applicants shall upload the following supplementary documents:

• Agreement signed by applicant and Korean cooperators(please refer to Annex 2 for template);

• English proposal (The Chinese applicant and the Korean applicant shall write a joint proposal in English, and its format and the information provided must be in accordance with the template (Annex 3);

E. Applicants shall first read Annex 1 carefully before application.

6. Deadline

Applicant shall submit application form online by 17:00 on Sep. 20, 2021, without submitting any hard copies.
