Notification of application for special fund for the research on "rare tumors" and other three projects
The Department of Life Sciences and Health Sciences of NSFC have initiated application for special fund for the research on "rare tumors" and other three projects. Details of requirements are as follows:
1. Eligibility of applicants
Applicants shall meet the following qualifications:
(1) With the experience of undertaking basic research projects;
(2) Have senior academic title.
2. Procedure of application
Online application
Applicants shall fill out application forms in Chinese online via the application system (https://isisn.nsfc.gov.cn/) .
※ For applicants who have no application account, please send your name, academic title, email address, telephone number to kevingao@cuhk.edu.cn by Aug. 16, 2021 to open account.
Paperless submission
In the stage of submission, applicants shall only submit the online application, without submitting any hard copies.
3. Other requirements
A. This program is counted to the total number limit after approval;
B. Applicants shall only apply for one project of special fund once in a year;
C. Please refer to Annex 1 for the specific requirements on funding fields, funding amount, duration, application limit and other important issues for each special program;
D. If the project involves ethics or biosafety issues, applicant shall submit approval documents from the appropriate committees. Any requirements of relevant scientific research reviews, please refer to the CUHKSZ’s research review process of each Committee as attached (Annex 2) and send the required materials and forms to each committee’s email address by Aug. 25, 2021 for assessment.

4. Deadline
(1) Applicants shall submit application forms and upload required supplementary documents online by 12:00 on Sep. 6, 2021, the RAO will review and feedback;
(2) Applicants shall submit application forms (final version) online by 12:00 on Sep. 8, 2021, without submitting any hard copies.
