The Shenzhen Science and Technology Innovation Commission has initiated the proposals collection for Key Program Topics of Shenzhen Basic Research 2021.

The application of the key program of Shenzhen basic research will adopt the mode of "proposals collection, topics selection, guide published, and then application" in turn and to apply for the selected topics may greatly improve the success rate.

I. Collection Fields

Electronic information field: Artificial intelligence, big data, 5G, cloud computing, integrated circuits, new display, radio and film technology, information security, quantum information, third-generation semiconductors, aeronautical communication, block chain, intelligent transportation, and Internet of Things;

Biological and ecological environment field: Synthetic biology, brain science, new target chemicals, high-end generic drugs, antibody drugs, modernization of Chinese medicine, cell and gene therapy, high-end medical devices, precision medicine, digital life, water environment treatment and ecological restoration, marine ecological protection, air pollution control, and agricultural biotechnology;

Materials and energy field: Electronic information materials, biomedical materials, new energy materials, structural and functional materials, graphene and graphene-like two-dimensional materials, low-dimensional and nano-materials, hydrogen and nuclear energy, high efficiency and energy saving, new energy vehicles, new high-efficiency energy conversion and storage technologies, and renewable clean energy;

Intelligent equipment fields Robots and intelligent equipment, additive manufacturing and laser manufacturing, aerospace and offshore engineering equipment, and high-performance intelligent instruments.

II. Application Process

The project applicant shall fill in the application form online through Shenzhen Science and Technology Business Management System (https://sticapply.sz.gov.cn/) and click “proposal collection” column to complete the application.

Note: Applicants who have an account of Shenzhen Science and Technology Business Management System can directly log in and fill in; applicants who do not have a system account shall send their name, certificate type, certificate number, email address and mobile phone number to xuyaqing@cuhk.edu.cn to open an account before September 15, 2020.

III. Deadline

Applicants shall fill in application forms online before 12:00 p.m. on September 10, 2020. (Note: Please click “save” button once you completed, DO NOT click “submit” until RAO review and give feedback. No hard copies are required to be submitted temporarily.)

IV. Notice

The same topics shall not be applied for repeatedly, and once found, it will be disqualified for this application.
